color and thickness variations are also common in granite and may even occur in the same stone or marble slab, resulting in the granite countertops not to match exactly in color or grain. natural stone and quartz products will have visible seams and they will be placed according to material size and other limitations. any concerns about seam placement should be addressed at the time of measure.
